      We are thrilled to have you join us for an exciting season. Whether you are a returning player or new to the sport, this is an opportunity for growth, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

      So lace up your cleats, grab your stick, and get ready for an incredible season with Wakefield Youth Lacrosse! Let's make this spring one to remember. As we gear up for the season, our dedicated coaching staff is working tirelessly to ensure that each player receives the best possible experience.

      Our focus is not only on developing skills on the field but also fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among our players. With a combination of structured practices, competitive games, and team-building activities, we aim to create an environment where every player can thrive and have fun. Registration for the 2026 Spring Lacrosse Season is OPEN!

 

      Please read the following information carefully, As in past years, parents should complete uniform purchases (if necessary) at the same time as registration to avoid missing the uniform store window.

      The Girls program has a few additional registration details to be aware of this season and the Boys’ and Girls’ programs do not have identical uniform requirements.

      Please use the link below to register your player(s) for the 2026 season. To ensure that we know how many teams that we can field at each age level and to ensure that we have field space for practice for all of our teams, please register your players as soon as possible. Knowing our numbers as early as possible is important this season.

Registration for the boys’ and girls’ travel programs will be open through January 25th, 2026.

A 10% early bird discount is available for those who register their player(s) by December 28th, 2025.

A $15 multi-child discount has also been added for families with multiple players.

A $45 late fee will be applied to those who register after January 25th, 2026.

Note: Registration for the co-ed K/1/2 Intramural Program will remain open until March 29th, 2026 and that no late fee will apply to K/1/2 players.


 

Waitlist - Our Girls’ Program continues to grow each year. To keep team sizes manageable for our coaches and to ensure every player gets ample time on the field, we will be implementing roster limits for each grade level in the Girls Program. We strongly encourage you to register your child early to secure a spot for the 2026 season. Once a grade level reaches its maximum capacity, additional players will be placed on a wait list.      

Girls Kindergarten Clinic - New for the 2026 Spring Season, Wakefield Youth Lacrosse is excited to announce we will be offering a Girls Kindergarten Clinic through our Girls program. Registration for the Girls Kindergarten clinic is separate from the padded co-ed K/1/2 Intramural program.

  • Girls may participate in both programs this Spring if they would like; however, you must register your player up for both programs (i.e., signing up for the Girls Kindergarten Clinic does not automatically sign them up for the co-ed K/1/2 Intramural program).    
  • Please purchase a Jersey through the Girls Uniform Store for the clinic.

2026 Boys and Girls Uniform Information

All Wakefield Youth Lacrosse travel players MUST have a full uniform. See below for the specific pieces that make up the boys’ program uniform and girls’ program uniform.

ALL NEW youth travel players for the 2026 lacrosse season MUST purchase a new uniform for the upcoming season.

RETURNING youth travel players should refer to the details below regarding the specific boys’ and girls’ uniform requirements.

● Both uniform stores will close on Tuesday, February 10th at midnight - NO LATE ORDERS CAN BE ACCEPTED


 

2026 Wakefield Youth Boys Uniform Store

  • The boys’ travel program uniform consists of three mandatory items:
    • Reversible Jersey
    • Shooter Shirt
    • Shorts
  • NEW Boys’ Travel Players: must purchase the uniform outlined above.
  • RETURNING Boys’ Travel Players: the boys’ uniforms remain unchanged from last year and returning players can use their existing uniform if the pieces still fit. Please check sizing for your player and order new individual pieces if necessary.
  • Players have the option of selecting a jersey number on a first come first serve basis. Number assignments may need to be adjusted by grade level to avoid duplication.
  • The uniform store also includes the option to purchase a duffel bag. Bags are optional and can be customized with a player’s last name and number.
  • Note that the co-ed K/1/2 Intramural Program players do NOT need to purchase uniforms at this time; uniforms are included in the Intramural player registration fee and will be provided at the beginning of the Intramural season.

      • EITHER Shorts OR a Skirt
    • Optional
      • Shooter Shirt
  • NEW Girls Players: must purchase the uniform outlined above.
  • RETURNING Girls Players: the girls uniforms remain unchanged from last year and returning players can use last year’s uniform for the upcoming season if the pieces still fit. Please check sizing for your player and order new individual pieces if necessary.
  • Players have the option of selecting a jersey number on a first come first serve basis. Number assignments may need to be adjusted by grade level to avoid duplication.

      Our program cannot operate without the dedication of our coaches and volunteers. By giving your time, you provide our players with the opportunity to learn, grow, and have the best possible experience while participating in our program.

 

  • If you are interested in coaching or volunteering for the 2026 Spring season (no prior lacrosse experience necessary), please complete your own registration under the Coach/Volunteer option when you register your player

  • In addition to needing coaches on the field for games and practice, both WYL and each age level in both the boys’ and girls’ programs need volunteers to maximize the experience we can deliver to our players; feel free to outline how you would like to get involved when you register or provide more detail by replying directly to this email.
